We ventured into the Toitoi Manawa – Tāmaki Hub, an amazing collaboration space that serves as a central hub for numerous health and support services across the Tāmaki region. Within its walls, we discovered a comprehensive range of offerings, including a clinic, a dedicated vaccination area, a kai distribution centre catering to individuals seeking relief from the challenges of flooding, Cyclone Gabrielle and escalating living costs, subsidised health insurance provided by NIB, traditional healing practices (rongoā and mirimiri), and much more.
This story delves into the remarkable strength of collaboration exhibited by these services, all working together for the betterment of the Tāmaki community. Their collective efforts not only assist those in immediate need but also pave the way for proactive measures aimed at cultivating a healthier future.
