Rotokare Reserve is a community led project with the goal to preserve and encourage a pest free fully fenced native habitat for manu and plants to thrive in an area where the public can come and enjoy. Led by an amazing team of volunteers and staff this is an incredible testament to what can be achieved when like minded people come together with the purpose of preserving the beauty we have. This place is a home for kiwi, tieke, lizards, native plants and much more. They also migrate kiwi from here to other areas of Aotearoa. This place is open to the public.
