We got to visit Renee Pōtae, Group Manager & Assistant Commander, and shot over to the Taumarunui Volunteer Fire Brigade. We learn’t about their awesome kaupapa within the Ruapehu District. Most of these guys and gals are volunteers wanting to make a difference in their communities through keeping there people safe. These volunteers come from all different walks of life sharing the same heart, to protect families and share the message for life. Though they take a practical approach to keeping people safe it’s more about doing their part to create a thriving community where everyone looks after each other. We can all do something big or small for our families, communities, towns and cities and if we all did it together what a difference we would make.
